Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies sees Saturday’s match against Leicester City (kick-off 12.45pm) as an opportunity to celebrate no matter what happens on the pitch.The Scot has enjoyed the adulation of supporters after his return to the club sparked a run which has put The Reds within reach of the npower Championship playoffs going into the final day.
And, while recognising the importance of the fixture, Davies simply wants everyone involved to enjoy the afternoon.
He said: “Our intention is to get three points. We will give it our best, we’ll work very hard but irrespective of what happens, my message to the fans is simple; make Saturday a celebration day because it’s been a fantastic end to the season.
“There are two playoff spots available with four teams battling it out. No matter what happens, Saturday will be a big day of celebration for everybody at this football club.
“It’s been a great effort, we had a fantastic run to put ourselves into this position and everyone should be very proud.”
