Greg Halford has told Forest Player that he ‘loved’ his first season at The City Ground. The 28 year old played right across the back, in central midfield and up front over the course of an impressive campaign.
And the former Portsmouth man was delighted with the way his move panned out.
Halford said: “I’ve loved every single minute – every game, every training session. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it.
“I’ve had my fair share of clubs now so I know what to expect when coming into a new place. Forest, probably the biggest club I’ve played for, has definitely lived up to expectations.”
Halford marked his debut campaign with three goals – the last of which sparked scenes of jubilation amongst Forest’s following at Millwall in a 1-0 win which kept The Reds in the playoff hunt.
He said: “It was great. It was our first goal of the season to come in the opening 15 minutes and it ended a drought of us not scoring from open play.
“To score in front of our sold-out allocation was fantastic.”
