On-loan full back Sam Hutchinson has told Forest Player that he and his teammates are raring to go after the international break. The Chelsea man made his comeback from a lengthy lay-off when he came off the bench against Ipswich Town at the beginning of the month.
He has since been working hard to get back up to full fitness and this morning spoke of his gratitude for a break in the fixture list.
Hutchinson said: “Everyone seems refreshed. Some of the lads went away and got a bit of sun on their backs. It felt like a long break and it was good for us.
“Footballers never really get an opportunity to think about anything else, so when breaks like this come up it’s important to take the opportunity to relax with your wife, girlfriend or family. There is a life outside of football and as human beings we have to remember that.”
The 23 year old stayed on home soil and headed back to Chelsea to work with their medical staff.
He said: “I did a bit of strength work on my knee but really it was ten days’ rest for me. I’m in good knick and I think I’m ready.
“I hope to be involved on Saturday. One of my best mates in the game, Liam Bridcutt, plays for Brighton so it would be great to face him.”
