From West Bridgford To Islamabad

21 March 2013

Nottingham Forest and the City of Nottingham are delighted to announce that The Big Drive will depart from The City Ground, destined for Pakistan to deliver aid to deprived areas of the country.

Over 50 volunteers and 25 re-commissioned ambulances will set off from The City Ground on 19 April on a journey spanning 6000km and eight different countries. The vehicles will be packed with aid and supplies donated by communities throughout Nottinghamshire and beyond.

The initiative has allowed young vulnerable adults to gain valuable work experience and skills by preparing uniforms and equipment for the ambulances.

The National Police Aid Convoys (NPAC) and Nottingham-based international charity NGO Mulsim Hands have, with the support of Nottingham Forest Football Club, worked together to bring this year’s Big Drive to fruition.
