Nottingham Forest have a number of exciting activities in store for supporters ahead of tomorrow’s npower Championship clash with Brighton at The City Ground (kick-off 3pm).Robin Hood will be spreading the Easter cheer by dishing out treats in the family area and, for fans who like to arrive early, any purchases made before 1pm at The City Ground Megastore will be subject to a 20% discount.
Shortly before kick-off, Dimitar Evtimov and Simon Cox will be presented with their Football League awards before Bestwood Park Rangers take their place near the tunnel to welcome the teams on to the pitch.
Forest’s matchday magazine will be available from all the usual outlets. In this edition, priced £3, Karl Darlow speaks about his fledgling Forest career, Jonathan Greening answers fans’ questions and Sam Hutchinson reveals his Desert Island Discs.
Fans are reminded that they can now download the official matchday magazine to their iPad. Perfect for supporters who are unable to attend the match, the download can be accessed via this app from 2pm onwards.
On what is sure to be an exciting day on Trentside, Nottingham Forest politely advise supporters that offensive chanting will not be tolerated.
The club will be working in close partnership with Nottinghamshire Police to ensure a family-friendly atmosphere is maintained throughout the afternoon.
Chief inspector Richard Stapleford, who will be the police commander on the day, said: “We will be working very closely with club staff to ensure any inappropriate or offensive chanting at tomorrow’s match is dealt with promptly and efficiently.
“Forest pride themselves on providing a family-friendly, safe environment for its supporters and I hope that all will show respect for each other on another important afternoon at The City Ground.”
