Billy Davies had good news to report on the Nottingham Forest injury front when he spoke to Forest Player ahead of Saturday’s match at home to Wolves (kick-off 3pm).The Reds boss has had a number of knocks to contend with since returning to The City Ground but, although he admits Billy Sharp (chest infection) and Darius Henderson (knee) remain doubtful for the weekend, he is pleased with the progress made by some of their teammates.
Davies said: “We certainly have some key players coming back. Daniel Ayala is about ten days away after returning to training last week and Dan Harding is making good progress after picking up a calf injury.
“Khaled Al Rashidi is also recovering well from his back problem.”
One dilemma Davies does welcome is the return of Greg Halford from a two-match suspension.
Danny Collins captained Forest to two clean sheets in Halford’s absence and Davies admitted the ex-Portsmouth defender’s return will give him plenty of food for thought.
He said: “We’re delighted to have these problems. We want Ayala back, along with young Jamaal Lascelles, to give us a strong group who will be important to us in the run in.”
Tickets for the match can be purchased in person at the Ticket Office, online at www.nffcretail.com or by calling 0871 226 1980 (calls cost 10p per minute, mobile rates may vary).
Prices for adults and seniors will rise by £2 if bought on the day of the game. Nottingham Forest politely advise supporters to purchase their tickets in advance to take advantage of the cheaper prices and to avoid matchday queues.
