Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has praised The Reds’ support after it was announced that over 3,000 fans would be making the trip to Hull on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).Forest have been backed in excellent numbers all season but sales for Saturday’s trip to East Yorkshire have been extraordinarily popular.
The match has been made all-ticket for away fans, news which has come as no surprise to Davies.
He said: “We’re used to it. The fans, particularly away from home, have been outstanding. We will welcome them at Hull on Saturday and our promise to them is that we’ll work very hard to put a smile on their face after the game.
“With their support you never know what can happen.”
Forest could make it six wins in a row with victory over Steve Bruce’s Tigers, and Davies has no concerns over his players’ desire to extend their impressive form.
He said: “The one thing I don’t need to do with this group is motivate them. They know what position they’re in, they know the run that they’re on, they know the confidence they’ve got, they know the challenges that lie ahead and what they need to do to go one stage further.
“They’re ready and they will give us their very best. This will be a difficult game for us, but it will also be a difficult one for Hull.”
