Reds Land Henderson

7 June 2013

Nottingham Forest have announced the permanent signing of Darius Henderson.

The imposing front man originally joined The Reds from Millwall in January on a short-term deal, and he has impressed manager Billy Davies enough to earn a two-year contract with an option of a further year.

Henderson has two Forest goals to his name so far – the first of which came in the 6-1 home demolition of Huddersfield in February – and his manager hopes the former Watford man can continue his good work on Trentside.

Davies said: “I am absolutely delighted to have Darius on board. He showed us what he is capable of in his spell with us last season and his vast experience will be invaluable to us going into the new campaign.

“To have landed such a key target at this stage in the summer is a huge bonus and it should give everyone great confidence for the future.”
