Nottingham Forest midfielder Jonathan Greening insists tomorrow’s friendly with Royal Antwerp (kick-off 3pm) will be an entertaining contest. He also admitted it will be nice to be reunited with former Forest coach Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who is now in charge of the Belgian side.
Greening, who recently agreed to assist with the coaching of The Reds’ Under 21 side in addition to his playing duties, told Forest Player: “I played at Royal Antwerp a few times when I was a kid for Manchester United so I’m looking forward to playing against them.
“Obviously with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink now in charge it will give them an extra incentive to come over here and try to win.
“Jimmy will get a great reception. He’s a top guy, a good coach and everyone got on with him really well. He has his opportunity as a manager now so hopefully he will do well at Antwerp, apart from tomorrow!
“We always had good games against Antwerp because they like to get the ball on the floor and pass it around. It should be a great game on a boiling hot day in front of our supporters.”
