New Nottingham Forest signing Jamie Paterson has spoken of his focus and determination to succeed after completing his move to The City Ground. The 21 year old has signed a two-year deal, with the option of a further year, after departing Walsall’s Banks’s Stadium.
Paterson picked up his second consecutive Young Player of the Season award last season – a campaign which saw him start every match on his way to scoring 13 goals for the League One outfit.
And, while he admits it is with a heavy heart that he leaves The Saddlers, Paterson can’t wait to begin a new chapter on Trentside.
He told Forest Player: “I’m happy to finally have my future sorted and I’m just looking to crack on and train now.
“I’m looking forward to getting out there and putting all the speculation behind me. I’m happy to be here and I just want to work hard to get myself into the team, score some goals and help get us the promotion everybody wants.
“Put me anywhere in the final third and I’ll feel comfortable. I like to get on the ball and try to create as much damage to the opposition as possible.”
