Chris Cohen has told Forest Player that ‘optimism was in the air’ as he and his teammates reconvened for pre-season training this morning. The two-time Player of the Season is eager to pick up where he left off after an excellent 2012-13 campaign, but if he is to do so he understands the hard work must start now.
Speaking ahead of this morning’s session, Cohen said: “There is an air of optimism around the club – we all think we are on the brink of doing something very special, but the only way you can do that is by working hard on days like today.
“I’m always a little bit nervous before the first day – I get the butterflies the night before, especially knowing what Billy Davies’ pre-seasons are like from the last time he was here!
“They’re always very tough but it’s important to get ready for the season and we’re all really looking forward to it.”
