Goalkeeper Khaled Al-Rashidi has completed his move to Nottingham Forest. The 25 year old has signed a two-and-a-half year contract after joining The Reds on a free transfer from Al Arabi.
He is the first Kuwaiti to join an English club and is excited at the prospect of being a pioneer for his fellow countrymen.
“It’s an enormous honour for me to be the first Kuwaiti to play in England,” he told us. “I’m looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead and getting to know the Championship.”
Al-Rashidi, who spent a month with Forest last summer, will train with his new team-mates for the first time tomorrow.
And manager Alex McLeish has already revealed he’s likely to provide cover on the bench for Karl Darlow against Birmingham at St. Andrews on Saturday.
“It will be good to look at him in close quarters, rather than watching him on video,” McLeish said.
“We are hopeful he will be available to go on the bench on Saturday. Then we can integrate him in training and see what he can do.”
Khaled’s player sponsorship is now available for £417 + VAT for the second half of the season. To book or for more information call Corporate Forest 0115 982 4450 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
