Official: Dex Pens New Deal

24 January 2013

Nottingham Forest are delighted to announce Dexter Blackstock has pledged his long-term future to the Club.

The 26 year old striker, whose current contract was due to expire this summer, has signed a new four-and-a-half year deal subject to successfully completing a medical.

Blackstock has become a huge fans favourite since joining Forest from Queens Park Rangers in 2009.

He has scored 36 goals in 120 appearances for the Club and battled back from a horrendous knee injury that sidelined him for more than a year.

Chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi said: “It quickly became apparent to me just how important a player Dexter is to Nottingham Forest after my family completed our purchase of the Club last summer.

“I made it one of my top priorities to persuade him to sign a new extended contract and I’m delighted he has chosen to do so.”

Adult tickets for Saturday’s game against Watford are available from just £18 and are on sale via all the usual outlets – in-person at The Ticket Office, on-line at www.nffcretail.com or by calling 0871 226 1980 (calls are charged at 10p per minute, mobile rates may vary).
