Nottingham Forest are pleased to announce Billy Sharp has landed a second successive Mercure Player of the Month award.The striker completed his double after polling a staggering 62% of the votes for the December award.
He bagged five goals during the month including winning and converting a penalty against Hull, a superb finish to kill off Burnley, a brace on Boxing Day against Leeds and a last minute equaliser against Crystal Palace in front of the Trent End.
And to top off a fantastic month for the loan star, his partner Jade gave birth to their baby Leo.
In second place is Andy Reid (23% of the vote), who created both goals in The Reds’ 2-0 win over Burnley, and scored a cracker from 22 yards to equalise against Crystal Palace.
Adlene Guedioura was third (8%) thanks to his tireless work rate in midfield.
Congratulations to Billy who wins an overnight stay at a Mercure Hotel in London.
The winning fan, selected at random from those who voted for Billy, is Keren Iddeson and she wins an overnight stay at the Mercure Nottingham.
She will also present Billy with his award at the Nigel Doughty Academy.
