Elliott Ward today spoke of his delight at securing a return to Nottingham Forest. The 27 year old central defender will spend the rest of the season on loan at The City Ground from Norwich City.
Ward, who made 12 appearances for The Reds in a loan spell that ended after last month’s 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace, said: “It feels good to be back.
“I’ve had eight days back with Norwich and was on the bench for their FA Cup tie at Peterborough last weekend.
“But I knew something might happen with Forest and it was just a case of waiting and hoping.
“I’m glad things have been sorted out at Forest because I really enjoyed my initial loan spell with the Club.
“The deal is to see if the manager is happy with me and if he is hopefully a permanent move will be there at the end of my loan.
“But all I’m concerned with at the moment is playing well and doing well for the team and then we’ll see what happens in the future.”
Ward will go straight into the Forest squad for Saturday’s Kids for a Quid game against Peterborough at The City Ground (kick-off 3pm).
Tickets for the Peterborough game are available via the usual outlets – in-person at The City Ground Ticket Office, on-line at www.nottinghamforest.co.uk or by calling 0871 226 1980 (calls are charged at 10p per minute, mobile rates may vary).
