Nottingham Forest deputy manager Ned Kelly has spoken to Forest Player ahead of The Reds’ npower Championship match against Huddersfield at The City Ground tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).Kelly and boss Billy Davies oversaw a draw in their first game back but are determined to claim all three points against a Terriers side sitting only three points off the drop zone.
New Town manager Mark Robins remained upbeat after his side’s FA Cup exit at the hands of Wigan on Sunday and Kelly knows that Huddersfield will provide a tough test.
Kelly said: “I’ve seen Huddersfield a couple of times this season – they’ve got a decent squad and the new manager coming in will have given them a lift.
“We’ve played against Mark’s teams in the past and I have a lot of respect for him and his staff but we have to look after ourselves and hope we get the right result.”
Another strong crowd is expected at The City Ground tonight and Kelly has been delighted with the response to his return.
“We’ve always had great support here and the fans gave the gaffer a fantastic reception at the Bolton game on Saturday.
“I’m sure tonight will be no different.”
