Billy Davies was ecstatic with his Nottingham Forest side’s performance as he claimed his first win since returning to The City Ground in extravagant style.

An outstanding first half hat-trick from Radoslaw Majewski, headers from Elliott Ward and Darius Henderson and a cool Henri Lansbury finish put the game way out of reach – all after James Vaughan had volleyed the visitors into a tenth-minute lead.
And Davies was understandably full of praise for his men.
He said: “It was an absolutely excellent performance after a slack start. I was really disappointed to lose the goal early on but I thought our response was magnificent.
“We can mention Radi, and we are thankful for his three goals, but we can’t forget the effort, attitude and work rate of people like Simon Cox and Dexter Blackstock – they all deserve recognition.
“For me it’s a back-to-front job and all 14 of the players were excellent.”
Just under 27,000 fans witnessed the win and Davies was thrilled with the support.
He said: “The energy and attitude of the fans was excellent. On behalf of the staff and players I’d like to say ‘thank you’.
“We promise to keep working hard to get as many points under our belt as possible.”
