Dexter Blackstock has told Forest Player that he believes the current Reds strikeforce can face up to any Championship challenge. The 26 year old was joined recently by Darius Henderson after Billy Sharp and Simon Cox arrived at The City Ground in the summer.
Sharp leads the way in the scoring charts with 11 goals while Blackstock and Cox have chipped in with seven and five respectively.
And the Antigua and Barbuda international, who was used as a substitute in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Bolton, believes Forest’s frontline can adapt to any situation.
He said: “It’s not about individuals. We are a squad and all have to pull together. The manager obviously decided that he needed a different type of striker to start the game on Saturday.
“Different defences raise different challenges and Billy Davies is big on adapting to that. He rotates the middle-to-front a lot.
“So it’s not about me personally – it’s about Nottingham Forest being successful and getting back to where we want to be, the top flight.”
