Billy: ‘We’ll Treat Them With Respect’

22 February 2013

Billy Davies knows that Charlton Athletic will pose a significant threat when his Nottingham Forest side travel to The Valley on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

The Reds are in high spirits after beating Huddersfield 6-1 in midweek and on Saturday face a Charlton team whose home form leaves a lot to be desired.

But the Forest boss has insisted that the form guide means nothing to him and that he and his charges are solely focussed on their own preparation.

Speaking exclusively to Forest Player, Davies said: “We take each game as it comes. I’m not a great believer in focussing on form – Charlton will give us another tough Championship game.

“It’s a very difficult away game and, as always, we will approach it as professionally as we can in an attempt to get the best out of our own squad.

“Charlton’s victory at Leicester on Tuesday is a perfect example of why we must treat every team in this division with the utmost respect.

“They will be on a high after that excellent result and we have to make sure we are right on the day.”
