Tudgay On The Spot

16 December 2013

Nottingham Forest striker Marcus Tudgay was on the scoresheet for his loan club Barnsley on Saturday as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Ishmael Miller’s Yeovil Town at Oakwell.

The Glovers took an early lead in Yorkshire but after Tomasz Cywka had been brought down inside the area, Tudgay stepped up to level matters on 34 minutes.

After bringing The Tykes level, Tudgay went on to play the remainder of the contest while Miller was on the field for 83 minutes before being replaced by Adam Morgan.

Elsewhere, Reds midfielder Simon Gillett was in action as he played the full 90 minutes for Bristol City. He was powerless to prevent Steve Cotterill’s side from slipping to the bottom of League One though after they suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Rotherham United.

Young midfielder David Morgan played the whole of Tamworth’s FA Trophy contest with Boston United on Saturday. The Northern Ireland Under 21 international helped The Lambs to a 2-0 win as they reached the third round of the competition.

Finally, Guy Moussi was named on the bench for Millwall’s game at Blackburn Rovers but didn’t get onto the field as The Lions fell to a 3-2 defeat at Ewood Park.
