Billy Davies hailed his Nottingham Forest side’s performance after they earned what he called ‘a very good point’ at Birmingham City this afternoon.
The Reds, who saw Darius Henderson red-carded towards the end, were more than a match for their in-form West Midlands opponents on a cold December afternoon at St Andrew’s.Speaking in his post-match press conference, The Reds boss was complimentary of his side’s efforts.
He said: “I thought it was a very good point and clean sheet against a side who haven’t lost in six matches. You face a very competitive match here at Birmingham. The first 45 minutes were a dogfight, we always knew it was going to be like that, but I thought we were much better than the home team in the second half.
“I must give great credit to the team for their third clean sheet on the bounce. I thought they worked and competed very well and some of our phases of passing and possession were excellent.
“All in all it was an excellent result.”
