Nottingham Forest strikers Simon Cox and Darius Henderson are expected to be fit to face Millwall next week, according to manager Billy Davies.Sunday’s clash with Watford will come too soon for the duo but the manager is confident that both will be available for selection against The Lions on Wednesday.
Speaking to Forest Player, the Reds boss said: “Simon and Darius still have little knocks and niggles and, although this Sunday’s game will come too soon for them, we are hopeful of having them back for the games against Millwall and Wigan.”
Despite the absence of Cox and Henderson, the manager is confident that his squad has enough strength to cope with the upcoming busy schedule.
He said: “We know we’re going to pick up injuries over the season and we have to face that. That’s why it is important to have a strong depth to your squad and the lads that have come in know they have to perform if they want to keep their place in the side.”
