Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies was delighted with his side’s ‘hard-fought’ 1-0 win at Blackburn Rovers this afternoon.Darius Henderson’s stoppage time winner sealed all three points for The Reds and their manager was pleased to see them keep Rovers out and claim the victory.
Speaking to Forest Player after the game, he said: “It was a very hard-fought game as we all expected coming here. Blackburn make it really difficult for you and we knew we had to be resilient in order to keep a clean sheet and win the game.
“We know we’re still finding our feet and that we’ve got things to work on but we’ll do that in the days and weeks to come.”
The manager also reserved special praise for the matchwinner, and cited his performance as the best of the afternoon at Ewood Park.
“A special mention has to go to Darius Henderson who led the line brilliantly and scored a wonderful goal. He was up against two experienced players in Dann and Hanley but he was superb this afternoon.”
