Nottingham Forest striker Simon Cox is around a week away from returning to training, according to manager Billy Davies. The striker is recovering well from the ankle injury he suffered in the Capital One Cup tie against Hartlepool United and his manager believes he will be back in contention soon.
Speaking to Forest Player, the Reds boss said: “Simon is making very good progress. I would imagine he is about a week away from coming back in to the squad and getting involved with training sessions again which, considering his injury, is fantastic news.”
Two Forest players were away on international duty this week and their manager is delighted that no niggles or problems were picked up along the way.
He said: “Gonzalo Jara has come back from international duty unscathed which is good news and Adlene Guedioura has returned with no injuries after scoring for his country, so we’re really pleased.
“At the moment, everybody else is fresh and ready to go for tomorrow’s game. There is a great spirit in the camp, the boys have worked really hard and we will be ready to give our best shot against Bolton.”
