Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies believes three more wins will see his side safely in to the npower Championship playoffs. The Reds currently sit three points above the cut off zone with five matches left to play.
League-leaders Cardiff City are next in line as Davies’ men look to cement their place in the top six.
And the Scot is confident that a win in Wales would set them well on their way.
Davies said: “We probably need two more wins and a draw to get in to the playoffs – maybe three wins. The Championship is a tight affair.
“We’ll be going down to Cardiff backed in strong numbers and we’ll try and make the journey home a happy one for our fans.
“We’re well-prepared for the game and looking forward to it.”
Davies was disappointed with Blackpool’s approach in last weekend’s 1-1 draw at The City Ground and he is confident his side will face much more adventurous opposition on Saturday.
He said: “When you get to their position in the league you can afford to play open football. It’s another very difficult away game for us – Cardiff have done very well this year and have a lot of good players.
“But we know if we go there and be positive then we can cause them a lot of problems. We have the players to win the match.
“It should be an exciting game of football.”
