Forest pair Adlene Guedioura and Sam Hutchinson are touch-and-go for The Reds’ npower Championship match against Blackpool at The City Ground on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).Both players were left struggling after the 2-2 draw at home to Brighton last weekend and missed the Easter Monday trip to Burnley.
Guedioura sustained concussion in an off-the-ball clash and Hutchinson was left to feel the effects of his first competitive match in over six months.
And Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies is waiting to see if the duo will be available for selection on Saturday.
Davies said: “Both of them are touch-and-go for this weekend. We’ll seek some clear medical advice and direction before the game – hopefully we’ll be able to involve them in the squad.”
Marcus Tudgay, Daniel Ayala and Dan Harding all played in an Under 21s match against Leeds earlier in the week and Davies was delighted with their involvement.
He said: “It was excellent to see those three get some much-needed minutes on the pitch. It’s another step forward for their match fitness.
“At this stage of the season we need to get them back into the squad as soon as possible.
“There are one or two little bumps and bruises within the squad but the medical team have done a great job over the last couple of days.”
