Gary Brazil fully believes his Nottingham Forest side can progress to the final of the FA Youth Cup despite a 1-0 defeat at home to Norwich in this evening’s semi-final first-leg.Reece Hall-Johnson gave The Canaries a late lead when he appeared to handle Cameron Norman’s cross over the line.
Norwich will now take a one-goal advantage into next Tuesday’s second-leg at Carrow Road but Brazil remains confident that his side can still earn a final date with either Liverpool or Chelsea.
He said: “We’ll pick the boys up – they’re a little bit frustrated. We don’t often come off the pitch having not scored a goal. We know we can play better and we’ll go to Norwich and give it a good go - we would have needed to score there anyway.
“It’s only half-time and there’s everything to play for. We’ve got a nice little break now – we’ll get the recovery process going tonight, get some work done on the training ground and head to Norwich on Monday.
“The pressure’s on them now – for our boys it’s another good occasion.”
