On Their Way

19 April 2013

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies was at The City Ground earlier to mark the start of The Big Drive.

The initiative, run by Nottingham Charity ‘Muslim Hands’ and National Police Aid Conveys, and supported by Nottingham Forest, saw 31 reclaimed ambulances depart The City Ground on a 6,600km journey to the impoverished areas of Rawalpindi and Islamabad in Pakistan.

The vehicles, carrying uncomplicated equipment for emergency care, uniforms and Forest goodies, will pass through eight countries over the course of their ten-day journey.

Davies was delighted to lend his support and said: “I wish all 62 of the drivers a very safe journey. This is a magnificent cause and I’m delighted that the club could be a part of it.”
