Nottingham Forest will be looking to get back to winning ways with victory at Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium tomorrow night.Saturday’s defeat at The Cardiff City Stadium was Billy Davies’ first since returning to the club – and he will be keen to make it the last of the season as The Reds look to reclaim a playoff spot.
‘Boro have tailed off badly after making a promising start to the campaign and, although they look certain to finish outside the top six, they will be hoping to end the season in good form.
Forest must run the rule over Greg Halford, who was stretchered off with a head injury at Cardiff. Darius Henderson will begin his three-match ban after being red-carded in the same fixture.
Grant Leadbitter is suspended for the hosts.
The physical front man is nearing the end of a season-long loan at this Tuesday’s opponents, Middlesbrough. He has made 30 appearances for the Teessiders, scoring six goals – the last of which came in a 4-1 FA Cup victory over Hastings in January.
A product of Manchester City’s Academy, Steve McLaren brought him to The City Ground in the summer of 2011 from West Bromwich Albion, where he had spent four years after originally arriving at The Hawthorns on loan.
The 26 year old, who is ineligible to play in this match, also spent time on loan at Queens Park Rangers.
