Jermaine Jenas has told Forest Player that it ‘feels good’ to be back at The City Ground. The Nottingham-born midfielder, who started his career with The Reds, finalised his emergency loan move from Tottenham this morning.
He revealed: “It feels good – it’s nice to see some familiar faces, such as the kitman, the chef and the ladies in the office – it’s been good to see them.
“It was a really tough decision for me to leave Forest ten years ago – I was comfortable, I was happy here but I had to take the chance of Premier League football. It was a bittersweet move for me.”
Jenas will wear the same squad number as he did when he burst on to the scene with The Reds, and the number 36 hopes to be part of Sean O’Driscoll’s squad for Sunday’s game against arch-rivals Derby County (1.15pm).
He said: “I’d like to feature at some point. It’s the manager’s decision and I haven’t played a lot of football but the big games are what I’m all about.”
