Nottingham Forest came from behind to beat Leicester City in the Under 18 Professional Development League.Second half goals from Kieran Wallace and Wilfred Gnahore, along with a Jack Blake penalty, earned The young Reds a 3-1 win.
Coach Steve Chettle was pleased with certain aspects of his side’s performance but told us: “We didn’t start the game particularly well against a very direct and strong Leicester side.
“In spells in the second half we played very well. We got ourselves back into the game with a free-kick from Kieran Wallace and then scored again three minutes later from another set-piece with Wilfred Gnahore heading home.
“Jack Blake scored from the penalty spot late-on to make it 3-1 which looks like a comfortable victory but we’re trying to work on our performance a lot more and retaining the ball a lot better.
“The boys have won another game, which is important for them to do, but we’re looking for the performance and result to go hand-in-hand.”
