No Room For Complacency

26 October 2012

Sean O’Driscoll has warned against complacency as Nottingham Forest prepare to face Barnsley.

The Reds are unbeaten in four Championship outings as they fine-tune their build-up for tomorrow’s game at Oakwell (kick-off 3pm).

It will represent their third game in eight days and O’Driscoll believes Barnsley will present a sterner challenge than Cardiff or Blackpool.

The Reds followed up their win over table-topping Cardiff by claiming an excellent point at Blackpool in midweek but O’Driscoll insists Barnsley must not be taken lightly.

The Reds boss told us: “We’ve tried to prepare for all three games together rather than individually and this is arguably the most difficult of the three.

“People may think that’s a strange thing to say but after watching DVDs of Cardiff, DVDs of Blackpool and DVDs of Barnsley I believe that to be the case.

“I’m not just saying that because it’s our next game and it’s easy to say.

“I’m saying it because they’ve got a bit of both, organisation and flair.

“Their organisation is quite robust and they’ve got the fluidity of a team like Blackpool.

“In fact, they’ve got a bit of Cardiff and Blackpool about them, so this is a game that might prove to be the trickiest of the three.

“Cardiff took care of itself because of where they are in the table; we knew Blackpool was going to be difficult because of their reputation.

“But I think if we take Barnsley lightly we’ll come undone.”
