Heading Home

17 October 2012

Nottingham Forest’s international contingent are heading back to The City Ground as focus turns to Saturday’s home date with high-flying Cardiff.

Simon Cox and Dexter Blackstock were involved in last night’s latest round of World Cup qualifiers.

Cox helped the Republic of Ireland keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the finals with a 4-1 win over The Faroe Islands.

Cox joined the action in Torshavn as a half-time replacement for Manchester United’s Robbie Brady.

Blackstock, meanwhile, played for 82 minutes of Antigua and Barbuda’s 4-1 defeat to Jamaica in Kingston.

Blackstock is not due to report back for club duty until later this week but is not eligible for the visit of table-topping Cardiff as he completes a three-match suspension.

Tickets for the Cardiff game are available via the usual outlets – in-person at The City Ground Ticket Office; on-line at www.nottinghamforest.co.uk or by calling 0871 226 1980 (calls are charged at 10p per minute, mobile rates may vary).
