Blackburn Preview

2 October 2012

Sean O’Driscoll’s side must put Sunday’s galling defeat to Derby behind them as they go in search of their first win in five games.

Dexter Blackstock was sent off early in the second half against The Rams and Craig Bryson capitalised to earn the visitors a 1-0 win.

And if they are to get back to winning ways, they will have to do so against a side who have yet to lose on their travels.

Blackburn began life without Steve Kean with a 1-1 draw at Charlton on Saturday and sit fourth in the league.

Forest’s resources are stretched as they will be without Dexter Blackstock, Simon Cox and Adlene Guedioura (all banned) and Marcus Tudgay, who recently underwent surgery on a double hernia. Sam Hutchinson (knee) remains a doubt.

O’Driscoll’s dilemma may leave the door open for Jermanie Jenas, who, having only trained once since his loan move from Spurs, was left out of Sunday’s squad.

Blackburn are not reporting any fresh injury worries but doubts surround whether Gael Givet will be involved or not.

He was substituted at half-time against Charlton on Saturday and caretaker boss Eric Black later revealed that the change was neither tactical or down to an injury.

Lars Bohinen

The creative midfielder began his career in his native Norway with spells at Valarenga and Viking FK.

He moved to Swiss side Young Boys Bern in 1990 but found himself back in Norway on loan at Lillestrom three years later.

Frank Clark paid £450,000 for his services in 1993 and he helped The Reds back in to the Premier League. He made a total of 75 appearances before our opponents, Blackburn, triggered a release clause in his contract and signed him for £700,000 in 1995.

After three years at Ewood Park he signed for Derby for £1.45million, where he stayed until 2001. His departure marked his return to Scandinavia, where he had two spells in Denmark before finishing his career at Valarenga.

He made 49 appearances for Norway, scoring ten times.
