Billy Sharp is convinced it’s only a matter of time before he hits the goals trail for Nottingham Forest. The striker has made seven appearances for The Reds since joining them on a season-long loan from Southampton but is still waiting to open his account for the club.
But as he prepares for Saturday’s City Ground date with table-topping Cardiff, the 26 year old is still bristling with confidence.
“I’d like to get that first goal and then I’ll really feel settled in,” he told Forest Player.
“It’s always nice to get among the goals and I should have had one by now – in the last two games I should have got a couple of goals.
“But at least I’m getting in the positions to get chances to score goals and I’m sure that when I put the first one away they will come a lot more.”
