Tudgay Makes Tykes Switch

14 November 2012

Nottingham Forest striker Marcus Tudgay has joined Championship rivals Barnsley on loan until January 3.

The former Derby and Sheffield Wednesday man has been limited to just two appearances for The Reds this season but is likely to have more regular exposure to first team action at Oakwell.

The loan move is with a view to a permanent switch.

Forest manager Sean O’Driscoll said: “Marcus is an excellent professional and great to have around the place.

“But understandably he wants to be playing on a regular basis and that’s something we cannot guarantee him. I’m sure it will be successful.”

Tickets for Saturday’s City Ground encounter with Sheffield Wednesday (kick-off 3pm) are still available – in person at the Ticket Office, on-line at www.nffcretail.com or by calling 0871 226 1980 (calls are charged at 10p per minute, mobile rates may vary).
