Sean O’Driscoll will check on the fitness of three key players before finalising his plans for tomorrow’s date with Leicester at The King Power Stadium (kick-off 12.45pm).Simon Cox, Andy Reid and Dan Harding are all injury concerns ahead of Nottingham Forest’s short trip down the A46.
And boss O’Driscoll has confirmed that Jermaine Jenas will once again be missing as he’s still being troubled by a calf problem that has forced him to miss the last two games.
Cox (foot), Reid and Harding (both hamstring) suffered setbacks in Tuesday’s goalless home draw with Middlesbrough.
And O’Driscoll told us: “We’re going to have to take a look at the three of them before the game to see how they are.”
Forest will still be without Radi Majewski, Daniel Ayala and Sam Hutchinson for the clash with a Leicester side O’Driscoll expects to be challenging for promotion at the end of the season.
The Foxes are currently fifth in the Championship, four points clear of Forest.
And O’Driscoll told us: “I think Leicester are a good side and I’m not just saying that because they’ve won games.
“I watched them play Wolves at Molineux and although they lost the game they were excellent. “You could see they were a team waiting to develop and blossom.
“They’ve come through the period where throwing money at it didn’t work – it’s alright having financial strength but you’ve still got to pick the right players for the team.
“I think they will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.”
