Top Of The Pile

19 November 2012

Nottingham Forest’s home win over Sheffield Wednesday was watched by the weekend’s biggest crowd outside the Premier League.

In fact, two games in the top flight failed to match the 24,584 attendance figure at The City Ground as The Reds ran out 1-0 winners.

It was Forest’s second highest attendance of the season and skipper Danny Collins said: “The atmosphere inside the stadium was fantastic.

“It’s great to play in front of big crowds, especially when you get a positive result.

“As players, we’re grateful that so many people came out to lend us their support.”

Forest now have successive away games against Wolves on Saturday and Ipswich next Tuesday but will be back in action at The City Ground on December 1 when Hull are the visitors.

Tickets for that game are now on general sale from the usual outlets – in-person at the Ticket Office, on-line at or by calling 0871 226 1980 (calls are charged at 10p per minute, mobile rates may vary).

There’s also an opportunity to sponsor the match ball for the game. Contact Corporate Forest on 0115 9824450 or click here for further details.
