Sean O’Driscoll revealed that his side’s draw at Leicester last weekend tastes ‘even sweeter’ after seeing his side beat Sheffield Wednesday at The City Ground this afternoon.Miguel Llera’s own goal – from a miscued header - was enough to hand Forest a 1-0 win in a game which could have gone either way.
O’Driscoll said: “This win just makes the draw at Leicester worthwhile.
“I would have thought the 24,000 people in here will have seen it as a really good game. Both teams went for it and it showed that there is a hair’s breadth between the top and bottom of this division.
“We looked like we could win it and we looked like we could lose it, which is what we’ve been like all season. We were a little bit sloppy in possession a few times but I thought we were generally bright and defended really well from set pieces which, when you are playing a big team, are a danger.
“We had to weather a ten-minute storm in the second half but came strong at the end.
“We’re learning to stick in when periods of the game go against us. The two substitutes (Adlene Guedioura and Henri Lansbury) came on and did really well.”
