JJ Is Staying

1 November 2012

Nottingham Forest can confirm they have secured the services of Jermaine Jenas for another two months.

The England midfielder, who has already completed a one-month loan spell from Tottenham, is now committed to The Reds until January 2, subject to Premier League clearance.

It means he will be available to boss Sean O’Driscoll for the next 13 Championship games. Jenas, who started his career at The City Ground as a teenager, has made four appearances as a substitute since returning to his home town team.

He scored a stunning goal – his first for the Club in 11 years – in last Saturday’s impressive win at Barnsley and will be hoping to play a prominent role in Saturday’s Kids for a Quid game against Millwall (kick-off 3pm).

Chairman Omar Al Hasawi said: “The quality Jermaine brings to the squad has never been in doubt and the manner in which he scored against Barnsley underlined his enormous pedigree.

“He is enjoying being back at Forest and we are enjoying having him back with us. It’s a great boost to have him with us for another two months.”
