Cohen Named Player Of The Month

7 November 2012

We are delighted to announce that Chris Cohen has been voted the Mercure Player of the Month for October.

Chris has been superb since his return from the serious knee injury he sustained against Derby last season, emerging as a vital cog in the engine room as Forest went unbeaten in October.

He capped off a tremendous month with an excellent strike to score The Reds’ third goal in the 4-1 demolition of Barnsley and earned a massive 58% of the votes.

In second place is Andy Reid (10%), who continues to impress on the left side of midfield. He chipped in with two goals excellent goals last month - a stunning individual effort to give us the win at Peterborough and a beautiful free-kick to set the ball rolling against Cardiff.

Billy Sharp was third (9%) thanks to his back-to-back goals against Cardiff and Blackpool.

Congratulations to Chris, who wins an overnight stay at a Mercure Hotel in London. The winning fan, selected at random from those who voted for him, is Martyn Oliver and he wins an overnight stay at the Mercure Nottingham. He will also present Chris with his award at the Nigel Doughty Academy.
