Assessing Simon

15 November 2012

Nottingham Forest are waiting to discover the extent of the injury Simon Cox picked up while on international duty with the Republic of Ireland.

Cox limped out of last night’s friendly defeat by Greece in Dublin on the hour mark with a foot injury.

He’s due back in Nottingham this morning when Forest’s medical staff will get to work assessing the extent of the setback and ascertain whether he’s a doubt for Saturday’s home date with Sheffield Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Adlene Guedioura’s Algeria were beaten 1-0 by Bosnia and Herzegovina in a friendly in Algiers last night.

The game was played in dreadful weather conditions and Algeria conceded the only goal of the game in the 90th minute.

Tickets for the Sheffield Wednesday game on Saturday (kick-off 3pm) are still available in person at the Ticket Office, on-line at www.nffcretail.com or by calling 0871 226 1980 (calls are charged at 10p per minute, mobile rates may vary).
