Nottingham Forest are to go head-to-head with neighbours Notts County as part of their build-up to the new Championship campaign.The Reds will meet County, who are celebrating their 150th anniversary this year, at Meadow Lane on Tuesday, August 7 (kick-off 7.45pm).
The game will take place almost a year to the day since their last showdown – in a dramatic League Cup tie.
Wes Morgan bagged a dramatic equaliser in the final minute of extra-time to make it 3-3 and Forest edged through 4-3 on penalties.
Forest Executive Mark Arthur said: “We’re delighted to be playing Notts as part of their anniversary celebrations. Let’s hope the game is as exciting – and memorable – as last season’s cup tie.”
