Nottingham Forest were delighted to support Nottingham’s Rise and Shine attendance challenge last week.Schools from across the city signed up to the challenge in order to help improve local attendance records and Forest midfielder Andy Reid helped pick out those who had 100% for the selected week at the beginning of December.
Reid was joined by attendance officers from Nottingham as they selected six winners from their respective boroughs, all of whom received a £50 Tesco voucher. All the children who completed the challenge were then put into a grand draw with the lucky winner receiving complimentary tickets to a Forest match this season.
The winner’s class have also been invited to a behind-the-scenes-tour at The City Ground followed by an opportunity to meet Reid.
The club’s Press and PR Executive Ben White said: “On behalf of everyone at Nottingham Forest I would like to congratulate all the children who completed the challenge.
“Attendance is vital to a child’s education and is something which will help prepare pupils for the demands of working life.
“I was delighted to see so many children complete the challenge and hope this positive attitude continues beyond Christmas and into the New Year.”
