New Forest manager Alex McLeish has confirmed that he will consider bolstering his squad in January as he looks to make a flying start to his City Ground career.Speaking exclusively to Forest Player, the Glaswegian revealed plans to liaise with his staff in order to determine which areas of the squad could be improved.
McLeish said: “We’re going to look at whether or not we can enhance the squad to give us an even stronger chance of fighting for a play-off place, or better.
“There’s no doubt that we’ll get together with the scouting team, the recruitment network, Rob Kelly and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and see how we can improve.
“There’s a lot of quality in this squad. I told them this morning that if they can combine that with a willingness to die for the jersey they won’t be far from the starting line-up.
“It’s a team who like to pass the ball when they get the opportunity but they can also effectively maximise their resources. There’s a good mix and it’s about harnessing that strong mentality to try and win every single week.”
