Marsh Wants Big Crowd

11 December 2012

Nottingham Forest Academy Director Nick Marshall has encouraged fans to lend their support at tomorrow evening’s FA Youth Cup clash with Cardiff at The City Ground (kick-off 7pm).

Forest reached the quarter finals of last season’s competition and Marshall hopes the hosts will have the backing of a healthy crowd tomorrow evening.
He said: “We have had some decent crowds in the past – I think we had over 1,000 at the Chelsea game last season.
“A big crowd is terrific in terms of support for the players but perhaps what people don’t realise is that it gives them an experience of what they will hopefully encounter at first team level.
“As important as playing in the game is to their development, the more experiences we can give these kids, the more ready they will be to make the step up.
“If people come along hopefully they will enjoy the game. But they will definitely be giving the players a taste of what it is like to perform on the big stage.”
Admission for the game is priced £3 adults and £1 concessions (Under 18s and Over 65s).
