Hitting The Right Note

19 December 2012

Nottingham Forest's first team squad were treated to an impromptu carol concert this morning - from an unlikely group of choristers.

Academy squad members 'performed' for Sean O'Driscoll's men before training at the Nigel Doughty Academy.

The youngsters took centre-stage in small groups in the first team dressing room and were watched not only by the players but also members of the coaching staff and Club staff.

Some opted for traditional Christmas songs, including 'Jingle Bell Rock' and 'Silent Night', while others opted for more contemporary themes, including a specially written rap.

Skipper Danny Collins said: "It takes some doing to stand-up in front of senior players and sing.

"Some were better than others but they all had a go, which is all you can ask for."
