Sean's Fleetwood Reaction

13 August 2012

Forest boss Sean O'Driscoll was delighted with his side's Capital One Cup first round victory over Fleetwood Town, but was quick to credit the hosts on their performance.

The Reds beat Micky Mellon's side 1-0 with Dexter Blackstock's 57th minute strike securing Forest's passage into round two.

"The result goes to us but the plaudits go to Fleetwood. I thought they were excellent and I'm sure they will do well in League Two.

"It was always going to be one of those ties where everybody was looking for the result to go against the bigger team.

"I was pleased with our organisation having thrown a back four together for their first 90 minutes.

"The players responded to the changes we made at half time, which was a big plus for me. We told them what we wanted to do and they understood."
