Simon Cox and Sam Hutchinson will train with their new Nottingham Forest team-mates today - and could so straight into Sean O’Driscoll’s starting line-up for tomorrow’s Championship curtain raiser against Bristol City.
Cox completed the formalities of his switch from West Brom earlier in the week but has been away on international duty in Serbia with the Republic of Ireland. He arrived back in England yesterday and will report for club duty this morning, as will Hutchinson who joined Forest on loan from Chelsea yesterday.
Boss O’Driscoll will take a close look at both men before finalising his side to face City at The City Ground (kick-off 3pm).
But he’s not ruling out the possibility of them forcing their way into his starting XI, despite their lack of preparation with their new colleagues.
O’Driscoll hopes to have Guy Moussi back in training today after he missed Monday’s Capital One Cup tie at Fleetwood with a slight knock.
And he has confirmed that Simon Gillett and Chris Cohen are also back in full training.
