Sean O’Driscoll has confirmed that latest signing Daniel Ayala will make his first appearance in a Nottingham Forest shirt against West Brom tomorrow.Ayala became Forest’s sixth capture of the summer so far when he checked-in on a season-long loan from Norwich on Tuesday.
The Spanish central defender arrived just a few hours before The Reds faced neighbours Notts County at Meadow Lane and it was decided not to pitch him straight into match action without first giving him the chance to train with his new teammates.
Ayala has now had that opportunity and boss O’Driscoll says he will get a run-out in Forest’s final pre-season game, against The Baggies at The City Ground (kick-off 7.45pm).
O’Driscoll confirmed: “We will play him against West Brom at some point, even if we have to be careful, because we have another game on Monday.
“In some senses, the game on Friday will give us the chance to play the back four together for the first time.”
